Cell Medica, a dynamic seed stage company developing innovative cellular products for T cell immuno-therapy is offering a position for a Research Scientist within its development team. This opportunity will be available for a driven scientist with a strong background in immunology and experience in establishing, optimizing and performing cell based functional assays. The successful candidate will have a BSc in a related discipline and at least 3 years relevant laboratory experience or a PhD in an immunology related field.

Responsibilities will include performing immune reconstitution assays on patient samples as well as establishing and optimising new assays for the characterisation of antigen specific T cells. In addition the successful candidate will be responsible for the recording, analysis and reporting of the immune monitoring data as well as managing the document system.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate a high proficiency in the use of flow cytometry and the analysis of FCS data files. In addition they must also have experience of working with immuno-assays and developing new assays and protocols by adapting published methods. Experience of PCR from both genomic and cDNA is desirable. Database and document management experience would also be beneficial.

The candidate should be highly motivated, demonstrate an ability to work confidently and independently on individual projects with the meticulous attention to detail that is required to work within a GCP/GLP environment. The successful applicant will be joining an enthusiastic team working in a rapidly developing and exciting new field of personalized cellular therapies and as such this role will contribute significantly to the activities of the team in developing novel assays and therapeutic products.
